Youth Development Professional - Boys And Girls Clubs Of Greater Kansas City
Overview
The position involves planning implementing supervising and evaluating activities that foster youth development outcomes. This role focuses on creating engaging environments promoting participation and supporting leadership development artistic skills physical activity and academic progress. Responsibilities include submitting lesson plans maintaining safety standards and collaborating with staff.
What You'll Do11
- 1Create engaging activities and group projects
- 2Submit lesson plans and attendance sheets
- 3Participate in training and staff development
- 4Maintain daily contact with staff members and members
- 5Perform mandatory cleaning and closing of program areas
- 6Stand, walk, and sit while performing job tasks
- 7Assist with other BGCGKC location duties as needed
- 8Model healthy behaviors and support DEI initiatives
- 9Organize and supervise members in a safe environment
- 10Plan and implement quality programs for youth
- 11Coordinate with supervisors and staff to address issues
Requirements10
- 1Minimum one year of relevant work experience
- 2High School Diploma or GED
- 3Experience working with children and knowledge of youth development
- 4CPR and First Aid certifications preferred
- 5Strong organizational and time management skills
- 6Ability to set priorities and maintain a productive work environment
- 7Positive attitude adaptability and strong communication skills
- 8Experience creating interactive educational activities
- 9Comfortable assisting with various club functions
- 10Ability to model healthy behavior and support inclusive environments
