Overview

Lead a safe engaging youth program at BGCSC impacting Academic Success Healthy Lifestyles and Good Character & Citizenship for ages 5 18 in a community center environment

What You'll Do10

  • 1Build and supervise program activities for youth in accordance with BGCSC policies
  • 2Design and deliver engaging STEM sports arts and crafts activities
  • 3Own safety and wellbeing ensuring compliance with WA state law and BGCSC standards
  • 4Support membership enrollment and maintain organized supplies and equipment
  • 5Strengthen relationships with youth through trauma informed practice and cultural DNA guidelines
  • 6Coordinate snack preparation and food safety practices using kitchen tools
  • 7Maintain club spaces ensuring cleanliness and organization and manage equipment
  • 8Collaborate with the Unit Director to implement program plans and events
  • 9Monitor youth engagement and provide positive behavior support
  • 10Adapt activities to seasonal and operational needs to meet outcomes

Requirements10

  • 1Sixteen (16) years of age or older
  • 2Ability to pass a drug test upon hire
  • 3Ability to pass a background check upon hire
  • 4Ability to stand walk or move constantly with or without accommodation
  • 5Ability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally with or without accommodation
  • 6Prior experience working with youth or background in early childhood education preferred
  • 7Ability to work flexible hours based on seasonal and operational needs
  • 8Commitment to BGCSC values including fun respect integrity community and acceptance
  • 9Capable of maintaining safety policies and youth protection requirements
  • 10Must be able to engage in physical activities and supervise children in a dynamic environment
