Technician II, Data Center Services & 100% Travel
Overview
Own data center maintenance and hands on hardware and cabling across multiple sites. You will support both physical and virtual infrastructure and drive data center best practices at scale. Collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure security, safety, and performance.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and complete scheduled MACs for hardware labeling, power and network connectivity
- 2Install, certify, troubleshoot, and perform break-fix on hardware and cabling
- 3Maintain asset management, daily logs and ticket tracking
- 4Provide smart-hands support across multiple customer sites within SLA
- 5Maintain secure operating environment and complete site security and data protection procedures
- 6Document processes and maintain thorough records for DCIM and hardware inventories
- 7Coordinate equipment receiving, shipping and RMA processing as needed
- 8Escort vendors and security and support on-site as required
- 9Support standard and emergency operating procedures for data center availability and health
- 10Report on data center service availability, performance, capacity utilization
Requirements5
- 1Three (3) years minimum of data center experience
- 2Two (2) active industry certifications
- 3Strong knowledge of server and network hardware and software support configurations
- 4Intermediate understanding of AC/DC power principles and data center power distribution
- 5Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work at heights and in confined spaces
