Overview

data center technician role supporting both physical and virtual infrastructure across multiple sites. You will perform MACs, hardware installs, and incident response within defined SLAs while maintaining security and documentation. This position is a 100% travel role requiring coordination with customers and on-site teams. You will join a team focused on data center best practices and reliable operations across diverse facilities.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Build hardware and cabling MACs including labeling, power, and network connectivity to ensure successful site handoffs
  • 2Design and execute asset management, audits, and daily work log tracking to maintain accurate inventory
  • 3Provide smart hands assistance and on-site support for multiple customers within SLA targets
  • 4Maintain secure data center operations by following site security, badging, and data protection procedures
  • 5Coordinate equipment receiving, shipping, and RMA processing and support project schedules
  • 6Document and report data center health, availability, capacity, and environmental conditions
  • 7Perform daily DC inspections and maintain DCIM related tools and processes
  • 8Support standard and emergency operating procedures and communicate status to stakeholders
  • 9Assist with installation and maintenance of server and network hardware including copper and fiber components
  • 10On-call duties and customer liaison duties as required

Requirements5

  • 1Two (2) years of data center experience or related technical field
  • 2General knowledge of server and network equipment and software support configurations
  • 3Basic understanding of AC/DC power principles and data center power distribution
  • 4Proven problem-solving, critical thinking, and written verbal communication skills
  • 5Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds, work at heights, and in confined spaces

$42 - $52k per year
