Data Center Engineering Technician, Electrical & Mechanical Facilities
Overview
Owns hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting of mission critical data center infrastructure at scale. You will help sustain 99.999% uptime across electrical, mechanical, and fire life safety systems in AWS data centers. You will join a diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, and security experts focused on safety and performance while owning projects end to end.
What You'll Do8
- 1Build rounds to monitor electrical mechanical and fire life safety equipment ensuring 24 7 reliability
- 2Design and monitor Building Management Systems and Electrical Power Management System
- 3Lead rack installs decommissioning and PM troubleshooting within SLA
- 4Debug and repair electrical and mechanical equipment performing root cause analysis
- 5Ship projects from conception to completion coordinating with contractors sub contractors and vendors
- 6Drive change management documentation and technical writing to support processes
- 7Own on site support for vendors ensuring work adheres to standards and local legislation
- 8Scale operations by managing daily work requests and ensuring timely resolutions
Requirements5
- 12+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance
- 22+ years of Microsoft Office products experience
- 3Willingness to travel between data center locations as needed
- 4Ability to work 12 hour shifts or rotate schedules
- 5Must be able to lift up to 39 pounds and perform tasks on ladders and in confined spaces

$77 - $135k per year
