Data Center Technician, AWS Hardware & Network Operations
Overview
Own on-site data center hardware and network diagnostics at scale acrossAWS infrastructure. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain servers, networking, and power/cooling systems to ensure continuous service availability. Join a cross functional team of software, hardware, and network engineers and operate within an on call rotation. This role emphasizes hands on technical execution and collaborative problem solving to keep the cloud running.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and repair server hardware and network components to restore service availability
- 2Diagnose and troubleshoot infrastructure issues across servers, storage, cabling, and routing
- 3Respond to and manage operational incidents with root cause analysis and rapid remediation
- 4Coordinate with engineers, vendors, and contractors as the main point of contact for technical issues
- 5Participate in on call duties, maintenance windows, and change management activities
- 6Document processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- 7Assist with onboarding and training of new team members
- 8Support data center operations across multiple sites as needed
- 9Move and install equipment up to 40 pounds in physically demanding environments
- 10Follow safety guidelines and operate within health and safety standards
Requirements5
- 11+ years of computer networking experience
- 21+ years of Linux operating systems experience
- 3Bachelor`s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- 4Ability to lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds
- 5Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair
