What You'll Do11
- 1Build and lead project management plans schedules and risk registers for energy infrastructure initiatives
- 2Design and ship technical solutions for building controls lighting and renewable energy systems
- 3Drive client relationship development and present findings to executive leadership and governing boards
- 4Scale sustainable building practices through mentorship and continuous technical expertise growth
- 5Analyze engineering studies utility requirements and incentive opportunities to identify implementation considerations
- 6Coordinate multidisciplinary teams through project lifecycle from planning to commissioning
- 7Support proposal development and business development activities within seller-doer model
- 8Navigate utility programs interconnection processes and regulatory requirements for diverse clients
- 9Identify early issues and proactively engage teams to resolve challenges
- 10Prepare presentations workshops and status updates tailored to varied audiences
- 11Align project execution with organizational goals of decarbonization and smarter infrastructure
Requirements12
- 1Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Electrical or Architectural Engineering Energy Systems or related field
- 25-10 years experience delivering energy facilities or decarbonization projects
- 3Proven experience with HVAC systems lighting controls solar PV battery energy storage systems BESS EV charging infrastructure utility interconnection and distributed energy resources
- 4Strong project management skills including scope schedule budget risk and stakeholder management
- 5Excellent client facing communication abilities to engage facility staff executives consultants and utility representatives
- 6Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear actionable recommendations
- 7Demonstrated collaborative skills within multidisciplinary teams and willingness to seek clarification
- 8Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Architectural Engineering Energy Systems or related technical field
- 9California Professional Engineer license or progress toward licensure
- 10Certified Energy Manager CEM LEED Accredited Professional PMP
- 11Experience with California Community Colleges K-12 districts municipalities or public sector clients
- 12Familiarity with California utility programs public sector procurement and educational facilities
