Overview

Lead technical support for sustainability capital improvement projects across Los Angeles County schools. Own the planning design construction commissioning and closeout of energy efficiency and renewable energy initiatives. Deliver results in a hybrid work model with one remote day weekly.

What You'll Do12

  • 1Provide technical engineering support to Project Managers and the Sustainability Team throughout all project phases
  • 2Support sustainability initiatives involving energy efficiency electrification renewable energy and carbon reduction
  • 3Coordinate with architects engineers contractors and district personnel to resolve technical issues and RFIs
  • 4Maintain and distribute current contract plans and specifications
  • 5Conduct field checks to verify compliance with plans specifications and DSA requirements
  • 6Document progress through photographs daily reports and project notes
  • 7Track change orders field orders and approved modifications
  • 8Manage project files and record drawings
  • 9Log and review submittals for conformance with plans and specifications
  • 10Assist with RFIs monthly invoices and other project documentation
  • 11Coordinate project meetings and prepare minutes
  • 12Offer additional project and construction support as needed

Requirements11

  • 13+ years experience in project or construction management within similar sectors
  • 215M+ dollars in commercial public or educational facility construction experience
  • 3Bachelor's degree in Engineering Architecture Business Construction Management or related field
  • 4Proficiency with Building Information Modeling (BIM)
  • 5Familiarity with the Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction/design process
  • 6Demonstrated experience supporting sustainability energy efficiency or modernization capital projects
