Senior Project Engineer, Energy & Infrastructure
Overview
You will own the technical lifecycle of facility improvement projects, from site surveys to engineering design, affecting a $5M annual pipeline of qualified opportunities. What You'll Do8
- 1Conduct site surveys to collect technical, operational, and cost data, establishing baselines for 20+ client facilities.
- 2Analyze infrastructure systems like HVAC, BMS, and lighting to identify energy and water savings opportunities.
- 3Perform feasibility studies and technical evaluations for utility modernization and renewable energy solutions.
- 4Develop project scopes, engineering assumptions, and investment-grade cost estimates for client proposals.
- 5Prepare technical recommendations and project economics, presenting them to client decision-makers.
- 6Lead design engineering for approved projects, ensuring technical quality and alignment with project goals.
- 7Coordinate internal and external engineering teams to deliver design work on schedule and within budget.
- 8Manage engineering support during implementation, including design-build coordination and incentive integration.
Requirements7
- 1Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- 25-10 years of experience in utility system modernization, energy efficiency, or infrastructure projects.
- 3Hands-on experience supporting industrial or commercial facilities.
- 4Technical expertise with HVAC, mechanical systems, or utility infrastructure.
- 5Proven ability to independently manage engineering work and coordinate with clients and partners.
- 6PE license, Certified Energy Manager, LEED AP, or similar credential.
- 7Strong financial analysis skills, including lifecycle cost and ROI evaluation.
