Mechanical Engineer PE II - Energy Infrastructure
Overview
You will own mechanical engineering design and analysis for energy infrastructure projects at a 100-year-old firm. You will sign and seal documents, lead complex system improvements, and mentor junior engineers. Working with AutoCAD and Revit, you will deliver projects from concept to commissioning. This role offers direct client interaction and leadership in a stable, growth-focused environment.
What You'll Do8
- 1Sign and seal engineering documents, ensuring code compliance and quality.
- 2Design and draft blueprints for new energy systems using AutoCAD and Revit.
- 3Analyze existing systems and propose improvements for efficiency and reliability.
- 4Manage projects from initial scope through field visits and final delivery.
- 5Lead complex engineering tasks and provide technical guidance to junior staff.
- 6Interact directly with clients to understand requirements and present solutions.
- 7Troubleshoot system failures and implement corrective actions on site.
- 8Review and approve designs, calculations, and specifications from team members.
Requirements9
- 1Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a PE License in Mechanical Engineering.
- 26-8 years of experience in mechanical engineering design and analysis.
- 3Expert knowledge of HVAC systems, piping, and thermal dynamics.
- 4Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and MATLAB.
- 5Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve complex technical issues.
- 6Strong mathematical skills, including calculus and differential equations.
- 7Excellent verbal and written communication for client reports and presentations.
- 8Detail oriented with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- 9Willingness to travel 5-10% to job sites and work in varied conditions.
