- 1Own development of technical specifications for FACTS systems and reactive compensation solutions
- 2Lead procurement packages and bid evaluations for EHV substation equipment
- 3Provide technical leadership for dynamic reactive power control and grid modernization projects
- 4Supervise technical reviews and QA/QC processes for major equipment installations
- 5Mentor engineers and support technical excellence initiatives across the organization
- 6Collaborate with utilities and vendors to ensure compliance with industry standards
- 7Oversee factory and site acceptance testing for critical substation components
- 8Drive technical publications and conference presentations on emerging transmission technologies
- 9Maintain ethical standards and adhere to WSP Code of Conduct during project execution
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with PE license or path to licensure
- 212+ years of experience in electric utility transmission and substation engineering
- 3Proven expertise with FACTS systems STATCOM SVC and shunt capacitor applications
- 4Demonstrated experience with EHV substations through 500 kV and above
- 5Track record developing technical specifications and procurement packages for large-scale projects
- 6Strong understanding of reactive power management and voltage control technologies
- 7Experience leading multidisciplinary design reviews and technical QA/QC processes
- 8Excellent communication skills and commitment to workplace safety policies
