What You'll Do10

  • 1Lead field crews to execute boundary, topographic, ALTA, right-of-way, and construction staking surveys
  • 2Ensure data quality by checking raw field data, performing calculations, and managing download/file survey data
  • 3Operate robotic total stations, GPS equipment, and data collectors with precision
  • 4Maintain clear communications with project managers, engineers, and clients to keep projects on track
  • 5Promote safety protocols and a culture of professionalism and accountability in the field
  • 6Travel within Tampa and surrounding areas and work a 5/2 schedule
  • 7Support site layouts and stakeouts for various project types including boundary, ALTA, and construction staking
  • 8Assist with crew leadership, training, and on-site coordination to meet timelines and budgets
  • 9Review survey deliverables for accuracy before submission
  • 10Document field procedures and contribute to project closeout reports

Requirements10

  • 1High school diploma or GED
  • 22+ years of experience as Survey Party Chief
  • 3Strong understanding of surveying concepts and practices
  • 4Proficiency with total stations, GPS receivers, and data collectors
  • 5Part 107 license preferred but not required
  • 6Familiarity with Carlson AutoCAD or CAD software a plus
  • 7Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • 8Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • 9Clean driving record and the ability to pass a background check
  • 10Willingness to travel around Tampa and surrounding areas
