Student Programming Coordinator PM Birmingham Public Schools
Overview
The Student Programming Coordinator (PM) will own and manage Kids’ Club GSRP preschool programming and lunch programs at Beverly Elementary. This role supports a 30 hour weekly schedule Monday Friday and provides a unique opportunity to shape after school experiences for elementary age children in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities include maintaining classroom environments adhering to district policies and supporting staff with supply orders.
What You'll Do9
- 1Develop and maintain a safe nurturing positive environment for each child
- 2Serve as Kids’ Club site staff collaborating with team members
- 3Support GSRP programming needs such as caregiving
- 4Adhere to all GSRP and district policies state licensing rules
- 5Take down and set up classrooms at start and end of school year
- 6Maintain student health records and emergency data in compliance with DHS and BPS
- 7Work with Kids’ Club Supervisor for ordering supplies and equipment
- 8Support lunch programming and student supervision
- 9Other duties as assigned by supervisors
Requirements8
- 1Experience working with elementary age children
- 2Bachelor’s degree in education preferred
- 3Valid LARA license staff qualifications
- 4First Aid and CPR training within 30 days of employment
- 5Michigan State Police background check fingerprinting and Protective Services Central Registry clearance
- 6Physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds and engage in active activities
- 7Ability to stand and walk over 60 percent of the workday
- 8Commitment to non discrimination policies and child safety standards
Salary Insight
$44 - $46k per year
