Strategic Partnerships Director, Health Systems (Northeast)
Overview
You will own new health system partnerships across the Northeast for Talkiatry, the largest dedicated psychiatry practice in the U.S. with 750+ psychiatrists and 2M+ patient visits. As an individual contributor, you will build executive relationships, develop a pipeline from scratch, and close referral partnerships with health systems, IDNs, and academic medical centers. This hunter role demands a network of health system executives and a track record of driving deals from outreach to launch. You will navigate complex multi-stakeholder sales cycles, representing Talkiatry at conferences and shaping market entry. Success means establishing Talkiatry as a trusted behavioral health partner in your territory.
What You'll Do9
- 1Develop and execute a territory strategy to identify, prioritize, and secure new health system partnerships, leveraging existing executive relationships while building new ones with key clinical and operational leaders.
- 2Own the full partnership lifecycle from prospecting through discovery, executive presentations, negotiation, and launch, with accountability for growth goals.
- 3Build executive connections with physician leaders, behavioral health executives, referral management teams, and C-suite stakeholders to create long-term partnerships.
- 4Navigate complex health systems by building consensus across stakeholders and aligning Talkiatry's value with each system's clinical and strategic priorities.
- 5Track health system landscape trends, executive moves, and competitive dynamics to shape territory strategy.
- 6Implement systematic territory planning, prospecting, and pipeline management using HubSpot or Salesforce to consistently create opportunities.
- 7Represent Talkiatry as a thought partner on industry trends, healthcare economics, and referral workflows at conferences and executive forums.
- 8Partner cross-functionally with Clinical, Operations, Legal, Product, and Executive Leadership to design and launch partnerships while removing obstacles.
- 9Present business cases and partnership proposals to C-suite leaders, influencing decisions through compelling insights.
Requirements10
- 17+ years developing and closing enterprise partnerships with health systems, IDNs, academic medical centers, or physician organizations.
- 2Proven track record of independently sourcing and closing new business in a quota-carrying or commercially accountable role.
- 3Established network of health system executives and physician leaders, with ability to leverage relationships for new partnerships.
- 4Demonstrated success navigating multi-stakeholder sales cycles with clinical, operational, legal, finance, and executive decision-makers.
- 5Deep understanding of health system operations, physician referral patterns, and behavioral health access challenges.
- 6Strong executive presence with exceptional communication and presentation skills, including presenting to senior healthcare leaders.
- 7Experience building and managing a healthy pipeline and forecasting using HubSpot or Salesforce.
- 8Ability to work independently with high ownership and accountability while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- 9Willingness to travel up to 30% within the Northeast territory for executive meetings and industry events.
- 10Preferred: experience in behavioral health, telehealth, or specialty care referral partnerships; MBA, MHA, or MPH.
