Overview

You will own financial modeling and margin analysis for Snowflake's product workloads, directly influencing pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategy. You will partner with Product, Engineering, and Sales executives to turn complex data into decisive action. Your work will drive workload contribution margin dollars above forecast and shape the future of the agentic enterprise. This role is unique because you will accelerate insights with Snowflake Intelligence and AISQL daily, automating manual reporting and building scalable dashboards that leadership relies on.

What You'll Do8

  • 1Build and iterate financial models tracking revenue and cost drivers, delivering accurate forecasting and real-time visibility into workload contribution margins.
  • 2Analyze historical and forward-looking trends for revenue, COGS, and margin to provide actionable recommendations influencing pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategies.
  • 3Partner with Product Managers and Sales to evaluate new product features and market opportunities, supporting business case development with data-driven insights into revenue potential and profitability.
  • 4Use SQL to navigate complex data structures and uncover the 'why' behind the numbers, ensuring timely and accurate insights for stakeholders.
  • 5Leverage Snowflake Intelligence and AISQL to automate manual reporting and accelerate insight discovery, focusing on strategic analysis rather than data prep.
  • 6Translate data findings into automated, high-visibility dashboards for Product and Finance leaders, maintained by the business intelligence team.
  • 7Identify and resolve abnormalities in infrastructure spend to maintain healthy margins, providing recommendations to reduce COGS/OpEx and improve cost efficiency.
  • 8Communicate complex technical and financial concepts succinctly to stakeholders at all levels, including VP and C-level leadership.

Requirements8

  • 12-5 years of experience in Finance, Investment Banking, Consulting, or Data Analytics, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2Strong financial and analytical skills with proven ability to build financial models and analyze qualitative and quantitative data.
  • 3Experience in SaaS, Cloud, Data, or Fintech environments, especially partnering with Product, Engineering, and Sales.
  • 4Technical agility with SQL preferred but not required, with ability to quickly become proficient in understanding complex schemas and data logic.
  • 5Experience analyzing revenue, COGS, and margin trends, with familiarity in Salesforce or other GTM systems to reason about historical and forward-looking trends.
  • 6Exceptional communication skills, able to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical audiences and present to VP/C-level leadership.
  • 7Ownership and problem-solving mindset, adept at working through ambiguity, anticipating next steps, coordinating with stakeholders, and pushing projects forward.
  • 8Continuous improvement mentality, always looking for ways to optimize and believing the first version of work is never the last.
