Analytics Engineer II – Snowflake, dbt & SQL
Overview
Build and deliver enterprise data products powering analytical and operational reporting at Mariner. You will translate business requirements into scalable models in Snowflake using SQL, dbt, and Python, while contributing to data quality and AI-enabled analytics. Partner with Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, and business analysts across the analytics lifecycle. This role offers hands-on work with modern data platforms, semantic-layer development, and product support. You will own data products end-to-end in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
What You'll Do8
- 1Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and clarify data and reporting requirements, then translate them into effective data solutions.
- 2Develop and maintain scalable data models and data products using dbt and Snowflake in alignment with architecture and engineering standards.
- 3Partner with Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, and business teams to design and implement data products across the analytics lifecycle.
- 4Contribute to semantic-layer models, business metrics, and standardized definitions that support AI-enabled agents and consistent analytics.
- 5Apply Snowflake capabilities including DDL operations, RBAC, SQL functions, and Snowflake Cortex in data product development and support.
- 6Support data quality and governance by applying validation, security, and quality practices throughout data development and implementation.
- 7Participate in code reviews, version control, testing, and CI/CD processes in accordance with team standards.
- 8Provide clear project updates, technical documentation, and implementation status to stakeholders.
Requirements10
- 13+ years of professional experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or business intelligence.
- 23+ years of experience with SQL and analytical databases such as Snowflake, Databricks, SQL Server, or Azure.
- 3Experience developing and maintaining data models, pipelines, and reporting datasets.
- 4Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- 5Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, data analytics, or a related field.
- 6Preferred experience in wealth management or financial services.
- 7Preferred experience with dbt for data modeling, testing, documentation, and deployment workflows.
- 8Preferred experience with Git and version control practices.
- 9Understanding of ELT and ETL processes and tools.
- 10Exposure to semantic-layer concepts and tools is a plus.
Salary Insight
$90 - $115k per year
