Snowflake Data Architect, Warehousing & Analytics
Overview
You will own the Snowflake and Postgres data platform for the Assurance & Legal Technology department, designing schemas and tuning performance to support enterprise analytics. You will work with a team of data engineers and analysts to source, sanitize, and curate data into a gold data layer. This role gives you direct influence over data architecture decisions and visibility with business stakeholders. You will build scalable data pipelines and models that power critical reporting and analytics.
What You'll Do7
- 1Design and implement scalable Snowflake database schemas for analytical workloads.
- 2Own performance tuning and query optimization for large distributed databases.
- 3Build data ingestion pipelines to source raw data from multiple systems into Snowflake.
- 4Develop data sanitization and curation processes to create a gold data source for analytics.
- 5Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to define data models and reporting structures.
- 6Document data flows, schemas, and architecture decisions for the team.
- 7Drive data quality initiatives by implementing validation and monitoring checks.
Requirements8
- 15+ years in data architecture with Snowflake and Postgres.
- 23+ years designing and optimizing data warehouses for analytics.
- 3Proficiency in SQL and data modeling (star schema, snowflake schema).
- 4Experience with dbt for data transformation and testing.
- 5Hands-on with AWS cloud data services (S3, EC2, Redshift) or equivalent.
- 6Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
- 7Strong communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
- 8Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
