Staffing Coordinator, Nights, Healthcare Staffing & Scheduling

What You'll Do10
- 1Build and maintain staffing plans for nursing units on a shift by shift basis to meet patient care needs
- 2Design and manage contract labor utilization and HR files, validating invoices and maintaining records
- 3Own patient admission and discharge coordination with Patient Access, Nursing, and Case Management to ensure seamless transitions
- 4Ship clerical support tasks including correspondence, reports, ad hoc projects, and inventory management for unit supplies
- 5Drive communication and collaboration with Administrative House Supervisors and Unit Leaders to balance staffing and resources
- 6Lead efforts to monitor sick calls, update schedules, and adjust staffing in response to changing patient demand
- 7Manage unit reception and patient data collection while ensuring HIPAA compliance
- 8Scale inventory and equipment maintenance for the shift to prevent disruptions to care
- 9Deliver timely, accurate documentation and reporting to support unit operations
- 10Ensure the work environment remains organized, clean, and compliant with safety standards
Requirements10
- 1High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 2Clear English reading, writing, and communication skills
- 3Customer service skills appropriate to healthcare setting
- 4Basic medical terminology understanding
- 5Proficiency with MS Office products
- 6Hospital Fire and Life Safety Card (Los Angeles City Employees only)
- 7Preferred: Bilingual skills to communicate with patients and families
- 8Preferred: One year experience in staffing/scheduling in a healthcare facility
- 9Physical ability to perform duties including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs exercising occasionally and frequently as specified
- 10Commitment to HIPAA and confidentiality
