The VDDS Staff Civil Engineering Technician delivers high-quality engineering deliverables and provides technical guidance to ensure quality and compliance across project sites.
What You'll Do9
- 1Support planning design and implementation of civil infrastructure for utility-scale renewable energy projects
- 2Prepare and modify site plans grading designs and utility layouts using Autodesk Civil 3D PVcase and PVFarm
- 3Perform technical civil engineering design tasks under supervision ensuring code compliance
- 4Provide technical guidance to engineering professionals and technicians
- 5Review design inputs calculations and project requirements
- 6Assist with documentation review and field activity coordination
- 7Apply engineering principles to develop complex design concepts
- 8Coordinate with design team members and support project development
- 9Proactively implement latest technologies to improve project outcomes
Requirements6
- 1Diploma or Certificate required with Associate Degree in Drafting or Engineering Design
- 2Minimum 5 years related work experience
- 3Experience with Civil 3D grading and Autodesk Civil 3D required
- 4Solar energy experience and PVcase PVFarm software experience preferred
- 5Ability to perform background checks drug screens and motor vehicle record searches
- 6Strong technical skills and attention to detail for independent and team work
