Overview
System One seeks an Assoc Engineering Technician-Solar for a full-time contract position in Phoenix AZ. What You'll Do8
- 1Support engineering teams under general supervision in utility-scale renewable energy projects
- 2Perform technical civil engineering design tasks including preparing and modifying site plans grading designs and utility layouts
- 3Use advanced design tools such as Autodesk Civil 3D PVcase and PVFarm to develop project deliverables
- 4Create and maintain technical documentation drawings and project reports
- 5Assist in material quantity estimates and dimensional checks to ensure project accuracy
- 6Coordinate with other project groups to reduce errors and interferences
- 7Promote continuous improvement by adopting new technologies and processes
- 8Mentor junior engineering technicians and support internal client needs
Requirements6
- 1Diploma or Certificate required with an Associate Degree in Drafting or Engineering Design related technology preferred
- 2Minimum of 2 years related work experience
- 3Civil3D software experience preferred
- 4At least 3 years of experience with AutoCAD
- 5Familiarity with solar projects PV case and PV Farm software is preferred but not required
- 6Ability to pass pre-employment onboarding requirements including background check drug screen and motor vehicle records search
