Standard Solar’s Field Operations team is growing rapidly. Our best-in-class Field Operations members provide unparalleled expertise to an industry primed for exponential growth. We are actively searching for qualified professional electricians with a desire to hone their career by being part of the premier solar photovoltaic owner operator of C&I assets in the nation. The Sr. Field Operations Technician supports the team in the maintenance and repair of Standard Solar’s fleet of solar assets. Activities include maximizing the performance of an expanding fleet of solar electric and battery power systems across the nation.

What You'll Do13

  • 1Test diagnose and troubleshoot existing PV systems in the field and remotely
  • 2Inspect and review commissioning documentation and support construction teams with new asset commissioning
  • 3Conduct maintenance inspections and provide reports on findings
  • 4Coordinate with operations team to resolve system outages and analyze performance via monitoring systems
  • 5Perform quality control inspections as needed
  • 6Prepare quotes for corrective maintenance
  • 7Participate in formal and field training programs
  • 8Apply Standard Solar and OSHA safety policies and principles
  • 9Maintain awareness of latest construction technologies and materials
  • 10Report work progress and issues to management according to company policies
  • 11Maintain respectful relationships with clients and develop professional connections
  • 12Support asset operations with emergency and weekend on-call support
  • 13Meet performance objectives set by management

Requirements10

  • 1High school diploma required
  • 2Minimum ten years of hands-on electrical experience as a Solar Technician eligible for Master Electrician Certification
  • 3Proficiency with NEC and Microsoft Office Journeyman or Master Electrician certification
  • 4Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management Electrical Engineering or related discipline preferred
  • 5Experience with MODBUS control schemes and data acquisition systems preferred
  • 6NABCEP PV Installation Professional certification preferred
  • 7OSHA training preferred
  • 8Ability to travel up to two weeks per month
  • 9Pass background check and pre-employment drug testing
  • 10Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
