Staff Engineering Technician - Water | System One
Overview
System One seeks a Staff Engineering Technician-Water to lead site development for water infrastructure projects in Charlotte, NC. This full-time contract role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to build critical infrastructure while contributing to grading drainage erosion control roadways fencing and underground utilities. The VDDS role focuses on creating high-quality engineering deliverables using industry-standard design tools.
What You'll Do12
- 1Support engineering and design teams by developing and modifying technical deliverables for water and industrial water projects
- 2Use Autodesk Civil 3D and Bentley MicroStation to create and modify site development plans
- 3Perform technical tasks with intermediate knowledge of engineering principles under general supervision
- 4Assist in site development efforts including grading drainage erosion control roadways fencing and underground utilities
- 5Coordinate with field activities and other design personnel to exchange project information
- 6Review design inputs to ensure compliance with codes standards and policies
- 7Apply judgment to design deliverables and interpret project inputs
- 8Perform design calculations develop material quantities and estimates and record technical details
- 9Proactively share knowledge of latest technologies to improve project quality
- 10Minimum of 5 years related civil or engineering technician experience
- 11Experience with Civil 3D grading required
- 12Associate Degree in Drafting or Engineering Design preferred
