Overview

We seek a skilled Project Manager with a Water/Wastewater background to lead construction projects from estimating to completion in Charlotte. The ideal candidate will drive project success across safety owner satisfaction cost schedule and quality control. This role offers opportunities to build long-term relationships with clients owners architects and engineers while maintaining a positive company image.

What You'll Do19

  • 1Build strong relationships with client/owner architect and engineer
  • 2Partner with Preconstruction Services on value engineering and proposal generation
  • 3Maintain positive company image with all stakeholders
  • 4Set up and maintain project cost accounting
  • 5Develop and maintain project schedule
  • 6Support permitting testing and inspection requirements
  • 7Familiarize with owner contract requirements and delivery methods
  • 8Negotiate subcontractor agreements and equipment purchase orders
  • 9Create Schedule of Values and generate monthly payment applications
  • 10Review and approve subcontractor pay applications and vendor invoices
  • 11Track subcontractor change management processes
  • 12Facilitate coordination meetings between subcontractors and owners
  • 13Document meeting minutes and manage contract execution bonds insurance and warranties
  • 14Monitor budgets schedules and job progress with weekly team reviews
  • 15Visit job sites regularly to assess progress quality and safety
  • 16Resolve major disputes with vendors subcontractors and owners
  • 17Manage change orders and disputed claims to successful resolution
  • 18Coordinate facility startup commissioning and owner training
  • 19Report project financials performance and conflicts to Division Manager

Requirements6

  • 15+ years experience in water/wastewater construction
  • 2Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering Mechanical Engineering Construction Management or related field
  • 3Experience managing self-perform crews preferred
  • 4Strong written verbal communication skills
  • 5Leadership abilities as a team player
  • 6Proven success delivering multimillion-dollar projects
