Staff Electrical Design Engineer, Robotic Surgery Hardware

What You'll Do8
- 1Design analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits from concept through schematic capture, layout direction, and prototype bring-up.
- 2Lead schematic and design reviews, guiding PCB layout for signal integrity, power integrity, and manufacturability.
- 3Design for EMC and EMI from the start with grounding, shielding, filtering, and ESD protection; support compliance testing.
- 4Debug prototypes in the lab, drive hardware issues to root cause, and verify fixes.
- 5Integrate sensors, cameras, illumination, motor drives, and compute platforms with Mechanical, Firmware, Software, and Vision teams.
- 6Document designs and verification under Intuitive design controls.
- 7Mentor engineers and shape design practices and the technology roadmap.
- 8Drive external suppliers and design partners for camera, sensor, optics, and PCBA subsystems, ensuring schedule and quality targets.
Requirements9
- 110+ years designing production electronics in medical device, automotive, or robotics, with one product from concept to production.
- 2Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science; Master's preferred.
- 3Strong schematic design skills in Altium Designer, Cadence OrCAD/Allegro, or Siemens Xpedition.
- 4Practical EMC and EMI design experience with standards like IEC 60601-1-2, CISPR 11/32, or IEC 61000-4.
- 5Solid signal integrity and power integrity fundamentals for MIPI CSI-2, LVDS, PCIe, USB, DDR, or Ethernet.
- 6Direct experience with imaging, vision hardware, motor drives, or precision sensing, and transferring to manufacturing.
- 7Lab skills with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, near-field probes, and logic/protocol analyzers; embedded interfaces like I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, USB, and Ethernet.
- 8Experience with Python or MATLAB for test automation and data analysis.
- 9Experience under ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820, IEC 60601-1, ISO 14971, or ISO 26262; FPGA design with VHDL or SystemVerilog is a plus.
