Overview

Lead design and development of high-reliability mixed-signal electronic systems from concept to production, focusing on high-density PCB design, FPGA integration, and embedded software. Drive architectural decisions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior engineers. Ensure compliance with ISO 13485 and IEC 60601 standards. This role offers ownership of complex hardware, direct impact on product launch, and opportunities to shape engineering practices.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Lead schematic capture and PCB layout for high-density mixed-signal boards using Altium Designer.
  • 2Architect and implement FPGA solutions using VHDL/Verilog, including simulation and timing closure.
  • 3Develop embedded software in C/C++ and write Python scripts for test automation and data analysis.
  • 4Perform signal integrity and power integrity analysis with SPICE and HyperLynx; run thermal integrity analyses.
  • 5Design and validate mixed-signal interfaces (ADC/DAC, high-speed SERDES, clocking, power delivery).
  • 6Plan prototype bring-up, debug hardware-firmware interactions, and lead lab validation using LabView.
  • 7Define and enforce DFM/DFT practices, create producible BOMs, and support manufacturing handoff.
  • 8Prepare design documentation and verification plans for regulatory compliance with ISO 13485 and IEC 60601.
  • 9Mentor junior engineers, lead design reviews, and perform code and schematic reviews.
  • 10Provide field support for complex issues and root-cause analysis in post-production.

Requirements10

  • 1Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and 6+ years in electronic product development.
  • 2Hands-on PCB design for high-density boards using Altium Designer.
  • 3Strong FPGA development with VHDL and/or Verilog, including toolflows and timing analysis.
  • 4Embedded software development in C/C++ and scripting with Python.
  • 5Mixed-signal integration experience with analog/digital interfaces, power supplies, and high-speed signaling.
  • 6Proficiency with SPICE and HyperLynx for signal and power integrity analysis.
  • 7Lab skills with test equipment and automated test frameworks; LabView experience preferred.
  • 8Knowledge of ISO 13485 and IEC 60601 for regulated products (highly desirable).
  • 9Strong documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills; experience mentoring engineers.
  • 10Familiarity with manufacturing processes, DFM/DFT, supplier engagement, and production support.
