Staff Accountant, Property Management & Skyline
Overview
Take ownership of full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of condominiums, cooperatives, and HOAs at a busy property management firm. Process journal entries, bank reconciliations, and financial statements for boards using Skyline. Partner with boards and auditors to deliver accurate monthly packages. What You'll Do8
- 1Record bank transfers, ACH deposits, utilities, and interest income as journal entries.
- 2Reconcile bank statements for properties, posting all direct debits for utilities and monthly fees.
- 3Build financial statement packages for board members by the 15th of each month.
- 4Prepare and enter budgets for new fiscal years in Skyline.
- 5Take over accounting for assigned properties, handling monthly General Ledger entries.
- 6Answer board member questions via phone and email, resolving financial issues.
- 7Set up new properties by sending bank forms and configuring Skyline.
- 8Support auditors with year-end financial statement preparation.
Requirements7
- 12+ years of staff accountant experience, preferably in property management.
- 2Knowledge of Skyline software is preferred.
- 3Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- 4Experience with condominium, cooperative, and HOA accounting.
- 5Strong understanding of bank reconciliations and journal entries.
- 6Ability to prepare financial statements for board review.
- 7Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
