Overview
The Property Accountant owns financial statement ownership and reconciliation processes at a large U.S.-based firm. This role drives accurate reporting and audit support while collaborating with property management teams.
What You'll Do11
- 1Build monthly property financial statements including bank reconciliations journal entries accruals reclasses and variance analysis
- 2Reconcile balance sheets capital spending and tenant improvement projects
- 3Assist in annual CAM and real estate tax budget preparation and reconciliations
- 4Perform accounts payable accounts receivable and lease administration in accounting software
- 5Support Property Management with tenant account reconciliations
- 6Allocate expenses between entities as needed
- 7Prepare detailed interim and year-end work papers for internal and external audits
- 8Assist with tenant audit research analysis and documentation
- 9Support Fund Controllers with ad hoc financial requests
- 10Drive financial oversight across multiple property portfolios
- 11Maintain compliance with accounting standards through meticulous documentation
Requirements9
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 2CPC Card certification
- 3AWS Certified
- 45+ years constructing property financial statements with Excel and MRI software
- 53-5 seasons managing complex real estate transactions
- 6Accounting software proficiency
- 7Audit experience in commercial real estate
- 8Strong analytical abilities with attention to detail
- 9Self-starter mindset for independent work environments
