We seek a Senior Property Accountant to lead full-cycle accounting for commercial properties in Dallas. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy and compliance while driving efficiency across finance operations. What You'll Do17
- 1Manage monthly quarterly and annual close processes for assigned properties
- 2Prepare and analyze balance sheets income statements and cash flows
- 3Perform account reconciliations and variance analyses
- 4Maintain general ledger accuracy and document all entries
- 5Collaborate with Asset Management to ensure accurate operating performance reporting
- 6Review lease agreements and verify rent rolls tenant billing and CAM reconciliations
- 7Support construction draw requests and backup documentation for developments
- 8Process property-level accruals fixed asset schedules and depreciation entries
- 9Assist in annual budget preparation and quarterly reforecasting
- 10Track performance against budgets and flag necessary adjustments
- 11Monitor bank activity prepare cash reconciliations and ensure liquidity
- 12Prepare cash flow projections and funding requests for capital and operating needs
- 13Handle accounts payable and receivable functions including invoice processing and ACH payments
- 14Maintain vendor files and respond to inquiries
- 15Review accounts receivable aging and recommend write-offs or reserves
- 16Ensure compliance with internal controls and support external audits
- 17Prepare tax workpapers and supporting schedules for annual returns
Requirements5
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons experience in property accounting
- 3CPA or progress toward CPA preferred
- 4Yardi property management accounting systems
- 5US GAAP real estate accounting principles
