What You'll Do15
- 1Plan perform and control project policies objectives and responsibilities
- 2Assure adequate support and resources are available to project team
- 3Guide project managers by effective personal attitudes leadership and professional conduct
- 4Promote business activity by coordinating developing and presenting concepts and technical findings
- 5Conducts due diligence on opportunities from the Sales team before assigning resources including the use of external consultants as needed
- 6Communicates assessments to Leadership
- 7Drives territory-level visibility by encouraging the cultivation of local networks including prospects clients and business partners
- 8Mentor and coach team members and facilitate development opportunities for the team and the business
- 9Participates in and supports the hiring and promotion process including conducting interviews and providing hiring recommendations
- 10Provides leadership oversight coaching and guidance to a team of Technical Sales Managers (TSMs)
- 11Manages a team of Technical Sales Managers responsible for identifying and developing energy efficiency focused infrastructure renewal and building upgrade and improvement projects
- 12Oversees the development of projects from preliminary assessment through final deliverable including project status reviews resource planning and quality assurance
- 13Reviews final deliverables for technical feasibility energy savings guarantee accuracy cost reasonableness and alignment with customer objectives
- 14Partners with Sales Leadership to align project execution with sales strategy
- 15Supports proposal presentations customer interviews contract negotiations and bid activities and installation execution to advance business objectives and customer outcomes
Requirements12
- 1Demonstrated technical knowledge and understanding of building systems and technologies and the interaction of building systems
- 2Experienced in cost savings analysis and leveraging customers operational data to gauge value of potential project engagement opportunities
- 3Proven success in a customer-facing role demonstrating effective communication and service skills
- 4Experience in directing supervising training employees assigning and directing work conducting performance appraisals disciplining employees and addressing complaints and resolving personnel problems
- 5Excellent problem solving decision-making and planning skills
- 6Effective written and oral communication presentation skills report generation and technical writing skills
- 7Familiarity with project pro forma and scope-of-work documents
- 8Experience in handling high stress situations where tact and cooperation are crucial to cost-effective operation
- 9Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 10-years of experience in project development sales engineering or developing facilities based or building infrastructure projects or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- 10Ability to speak read and write English
- 11Qualified with Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) LEED accredited professional Certified Energy Manager (CEM) Experience with cost estimating and building modeling software RSMeans eProject Bulider Trane TRACE and Energy Star
- 12Experience developing energy efficiency projects under Energy Savings Performance Contract (ESPC) Energy as a Service (EaaS) Utility Energy Savings Contract and/or GSA Schedule 84 Contract programs
