Sr Mechanical Engineer, Vacuum Systems & CAD Design
Overview
ProE/Creo sits at the core of this role, where you will own mechanical design for vacuum systems and large assemblies. What You'll Do9
- 1Lead onsite-offshore coordination to maintain project timelines and design alignment.
- 2Design vacuum systems and large assemblies, using reference geometry for accurate system layout.
- 3Develop conceptual designs and detailed 3D models in ProE/Creo and other CAD tools.
- 4Optimize designs for machining, welding, and sheet metal forming processes.
- 5Drive design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve integration issues.
- 6Create and maintain engineering documentation including BOMs and drawings.
- 7Validate designs through FEA and tolerance analysis to ensure performance and manufacturability.
- 8Support prototype builds and design iterations based on test feedback.
- 9Mentor junior engineers in CAD best practices and design for manufacturing.
Requirements7
- 15+ years of mechanical design experience with vacuum systems and large assemblies.
- 2Proficiency in ProE/Creo and 3D solid modeling using CAD.
- 3Strong understanding of manufacturing processes: machining, welding, sheet metal forming.
- 4Experience with onsite-offshore coordination and project management.
- 5Ability to manage system layouts using reference geometry.
- 6Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 7Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
