Own the interpretation between ASL and spoken English at scale across VRS operations. What You'll Do10
- 1Build and provide accurate ASL to English interpretation during live VRS sessions to meet client needs
- 2Design and maintain compliant workflows according to FCC regulations and RID Code of Professional Conduct
- 3Lead collaboration with teammates to ensure high-quality, timely interpretation during fast-paced, highly regulated environments
- 4Ship tasks and paperwork promptly within approved guidelines while maintaining documentation standards
- 5Own attendance and reliability through flexible scheduling and consistent performance in a customer-service setting
- 6Scale interpretation skills through ongoing education and training to support evolving technologies and processes
- 7Drive adherence to Sorenson standards and policies across shifts and locations
- 8Debug technical issues related to VRS tools and equipment to minimize downtime
- 9Advance professional development through CEUs and certification opportunities that support licensure
- 10Collaborate with centers across the US for transfer and visiting interpreter opportunities
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or GED
- 2Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3Interpreter certification as required by local regulations
- 43 years’ interpreting experience preferred
- 5Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues
- 6Ability to pass required skills assessment
- 7Dexterity to operate computer keyboard, mouse, and related tools
- 8Strong attendance record and reliable availability for shifts Monday-Saturday 7am-7pm MT
- 9Excellent communication skills in ASL and English
- 10Ability to work in fast-paced, regulated, customer service oriented environment
