Sign Language Interpreter, VRS (Part-Time)
Overview
Interpret between American Sign Language (ASL) and spoken English for Video Relay Service (VRS) calls. Support Deaf and hearing callers across the U.S. and Canada. Work flexible shifts, Monday-Saturday, 7am-7pm MT. This role offers premium shift pay and reimbursement for certification and licensure.
What You'll Do9
- 1Interpret ASL to spoken English and spoken English to ASL during live VRS calls.
- 2Maintain compliance with FCC regulations and the RID Code of Professional Conduct.
- 3Adhere to Sorenson attendance and standards policies.
- 4Complete assigned tasks, projects, and paperwork promptly.
- 5Adapt to changing technologies and workflows.
- 6Collaborate with colleagues and support team members.
- 7Participate in call monitoring, mentoring, and evaluations.

Requirements9
- 13+ years interpreting experience (preferred).
- 2Interpreter certification as required by local regulations.
- 3High school diploma or GED.
- 4Associate's or bachelor's degree (preferred).
- 5Pass required skills assessment.
- 6Troubleshoot basic technical issues.
- 7Work in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
- 8Manual dexterity to operate a keyboard and mouse.
- 9Maintain regular attendance.
