Overview
ASL interpreter role supporting Sign-to-Voice and Voice-to-Sign in a VRS setting at Sorenson. You will own interpreting services across shifts in a fast paced, highly regulated environment at scale with a national network. What You'll Do8
- 1Build accurate interpretations between ASL and spoken English during VRS calls
- 2Design and maintain compliant practices with FCC regulations and RID Code of Professional Conduct
- 3Lead and collaborate within a team to support colleagues across centers
- 4Ship high quality interpretations while meeting exacting standards and timelines
- 5Own tasks and paperwork with prompt completion and attention to guidelines
- 6Scale responsiveness by adapting to a flexible schedule across MondaySaturday 7am7pm MT
- 7Debug basic technical issues to support continuity of service
- 8Drive continued education and professional development through trainings and certifications
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or GED
- 2Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3Interpreter certification as required by local regulations
- 43 years’ experience preferred
- 5Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues
- 6Dexterity to operate keyboard and computer components
- 7Ability to pass required skills assessment
- 8Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, regulated, customer service focused environment
- 9Regular and predictable attendance
- 10Effective teamwork and adaptability
