What You'll Do11
- 1Receives and unloads incoming materials and compares information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment
- 2Processes return shipments from customers when necessary
- 3Sorts, counts, packages, labels, and unpacks incoming property ensuring safe delivery
- 4Inspects shipments for damages or defects and records discrepancies notifying supervisor and purchasing personnel
- 5Prepares shipments using economical shipping methods and selects appropriate containers
- 6Creates bills of lading and verifies items against work orders for correct quantities and destinations
- 7Traces lost shipments and customer claims, initiating proof of delivery documentation
- 8Maintains department database and prepares routine reports
- 9Operates dolly pallet jack and forklift for loading and unloading supplies and equipment
- 10Band and shrink wrap palletized orders for shipment
- 11Follows safety guidelines including PPE and equipment interaction protocols
Requirements11

- 3Basic shop math with fractions and decimals
