Shipping & Receiving Lead
Overview
Supports Shipping Department to ensure timely shipments. Basic understanding of warehouse procedures and layout. Packages/assembles items for shipment or pickup. Loads and unloads vehicles efficiently. Verifies load accuracy and labels parts. Handles inbound material and inventory for manufacturing. Operates forklift safely. Conducts cycle counting and coordinates freight with carriers. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Teams.
What You'll Do11
- 1Owns packaging and shipping processes to improve efficiency
- 2Leads efforts to balance cost and service levels during shipping
- 3Coordinates scheduling of freight carriers and prepares freight quotes
- 4Tags incoming materials to proper warehouse bins for future use
- 5Operates forklift safely while handling parts
- 6Performs cycle counting and manages domestic/international shipping requirements
- 7Prepares freight claims and assists accounting with billing issues
- 8Provides guidance on shipping and warehouse issues
- 9Assists with continuous improvement initiatives
- 10Maintains shipment files and reports
- 11Follows safety policies and supports a safety awareness attitude

- 1Basic understanding of warehouse procedures and layout

- 3Strong communication skills using Microsoft Teams
- 4Forklift operator's license
