Shipper II, Order Fulfillment
Overview
You will own order fulfillment and shipping for Evident Inspection Technologies, a Wabtec division, in Waltham, MA. You will pick, pack, and ship finished goods, raw materials, and subcomponents for domestic and international customers, using handheld barcode scanners and inventory systems. You will work closely with a cross-functional team and report to the Supervisor, prioritizing backordered items with Product Management. This role demands accuracy, speed, and a safety-first mindset, with pay up to $27.75 per hour.
What You'll Do8
- 1Pick material from inventory per Pick List or Work Order, following SOPs and work instructions.
- 2Ship finished goods, raw materials, and subcomponents on time, ensuring on-time delivery for customer orders.
- 3Label and package multi-line item orders safely to prevent damage, verifying part numbers and piece counts.
- 4Communicate low inventory levels, material discrepancies, and issues to the Supervisor and Product Management.
- 5Identify non-conforming material and document it per procedure, maintaining quality and low error rates.
- 6Perform inventory transactions using handheld barcode scanners and update systems as needed.
- 7Maintain a clean work area, remove trash, and keep equipment in good operating condition daily.
- 8Uphold safe work practices, report hazards, and contribute to a safety culture with your team.
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or GED required.
- 21-3 years experience in an order fulfillment or shipping environment.
- 3Operating skills with handheld scanners and data entry in various systems.
- 4Ability to work under minimal supervision, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- 5Organizational skills to multi-task and manage workload in a fast-paced environment.
- 6Computer skills including all Microsoft applications.
- 7General knowledge of high-level shipping functions.
- 8Physical ability to lift/carry 25 lbs and stand/walk 8 hours per day.
- 9Professional, upbeat attitude, dependable, and punctual.
- 10U.S. Person status due to export-control restrictions.
