Material Handler II - Shipping & Receiving
Overview
Own the receiving, picking, and put-away of all inventory for Evident Inspection Technologies in Waltham, MA. Manage inbound shipments against purchase orders, stock materials on production lines, and prepare kitting packages for assembly. Work with MRP systems and Microsoft Office to track goods and maintain inventory accuracy. This role is on-site and requires lifting up to 50 lbs and forklift operation. You will be a key player in resolving discrepancies through root cause analysis, ensuring smooth operations from dock to line.
What You'll Do8
- 1Receive incoming shipments, unpacks, and checks goods against purchase orders, invoices, and work orders
- 2Maintain accurate records of received goods and reject unsatisfactory items
- 3Stock and distribute materials to inventory and manufacturing lines, ensuring correct placement
- 4Prepare kitting packages for assembly production, pulling components as required
- 5Cycle count inventory to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies using root cause analysis
- 6Operate a forklift and climb ladders to access storage, lifting up to 50 lbs
- 7Use MRP systems to update inventory records and track material movement
- 8Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and maintain a clean, organized stockroom
Requirements8
- 11-3 years in a stockroom or shipping/receiving environment
- 2High school diploma or equivalent
- 3Functional knowledge of MRP systems
- 4Experience with Microsoft Office applications
- 5Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders
- 6Attentiveness to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
- 7Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills
- 8U.S. Person status (due to export control regulations)
