Service Technician II - Multi-Trade Repair | Indianapolis
Overview
You'll own residential maintenance across a portfolio of single-family homes in the Indianapolis market, executing repairs in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general systems. You'll work independently with company-provided tools and a fleet vehicle, traveling daily to properties and responding to urgent service requests. Your primary focus is delivering high-quality, code-compliant repairs that keep homes safe and habitable while maintaining resident satisfaction. What You'll Do10
- 1Complete resident maintenance requests within 24-48 hours, covering plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repairs.
- 2Diagnose and repair issues across multiple trades, including drywall, painting, and basic mechanical systems.
- 3Conduct proactive property inspections to identify and fix potential hazards before they become major issues.
- 4Prioritize service requests based on urgency and impact on resident safety and comfort.
- 5Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, ADA, Fair Housing, and HAZCOM regulations during all work.
- 6Manage fleet vehicle, tools, and parts inventory to ensure availability for daily service calls.
- 7Document all work orders and repairs using mobile devices and maintenance software.
- 8Communicate professionally with residents, providing clear updates and ensuring satisfaction.
- 9Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours emergencies, including evenings and weekends.
- 10Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems, including filter changes and seasonal checkups.
Requirements9
- 1High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 23+ years in residential construction, maintenance, or remodeling across multiple trades.
- 3Hands-on experience repairing plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances.
- 4Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for daily field travel.
- 5Knowledge of building codes, municipal by-laws, and project specifications.
- 6Ability to lift 50-100 lbs and work in varied weather conditions.
- 7Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, ADA, and Fair Housing regulations.
- 8Experience using maintenance software and mobile devices for work orders.
- 9HVAC certification or other industry-related certifications preferred.
