Senior Systems Administrator Azure, Hybrid Onsite in VA
Overview
Own and operate Azure-based infrastructure at scale within a mid size enterprise. You will collaborate with a cross functional team to maintain reliability, security, and performance across cloud resources. The role requires hands on scripting, automation, and deployment tooling to support day to day operations and project work. This position blends on site presence with collaboration from remote locations, delivering resilient systems and automation.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and maintain Azure infrastructure and services to support enterprise workloads
- 2Design and implement automation using PowerShell for Windows and bash for Linux to reduce manual tasks
- 3Ship and manage deployments with Ansible and related configuration management tools
- 4Debug and resolve incidents with a focus on restoration time and root cause analysis
- 5Scale monitoring, alerting, and backup processes to meet availability targets
- 6Own documentation of systems, runbooks, and troubleshooting procedures
- 7Collaborate with security and network teams to enforce governance and compliance
- 8Lead small improvement projects and contribute to architecture decisions
- 9Assist with on call rotation and ensure timely incident response
- 10Coordinate with onsite and remote teams to align on priorities and timelines
Requirements4
- 15+ years of experience in an IT enterprise System Admin role or Cloud Admin position
- 24+ years with PowerShell or bash scripting for automation
- 3Experience with Ansible for deployments
- 4Experience with Firew*
