Overview
As a Senior Infrastructure Architect/Engineer, you will design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and hybrid environments for a major organization in Marysville, Ohio. You will work with a team of engineers to optimize Kubernetes and Docker deployments, ensuring high availability and performance. This long-term contract role is onsite four days per week, offering direct impact on enterprise cloud strategy. You will own the architecture from design through production, bridging on-premise systems with modern cloud-native solutions.
What You'll Do8
- 1Design and deploy AWS and Azure infrastructure, including VPCs, subnets, and security groups.
- 2Build and manage Kubernetes clusters for containerized workloads, ensuring autoscaling and resilience.
- 3Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and Ansible for repeatable deployments.
- 4Implement CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and GitLab CI to streamline application releases.
- 5Optimize Linux and Windows server configurations for performance and security.
- 6Migrate on-premises workloads to cloud, minimizing downtime and ensuring data integrity.
- 7Monitor system health using Prometheus and Grafana, tuning alerts and dashboards.
- 8Collaborate with development teams to define infrastructure requirements for new features.
Requirements9
- 15+ years in infrastructure architecture or engineering, with focus on cloud platforms.
- 2Deep expertise in Windows and Linux administration in enterprise environments.
- 3Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure (compute, storage, networking).
- 4Proficiency in Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration.
- 5Strong scripting skills in Python or Bash for automation tasks.
- 6Experience with Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure as code.
- 7Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI.
- 8Familiarity with monitoring tools: Prometheus, Grafana.
