Overview
You will design and implement complex Azure cloud solutions for a federal client in Washington, DC. You will own the architecture of scalable and secure environments using VM Scale Sets, AKS, and Azure Functions. Your team includes cloud engineers and DevOps specialists working on mission-critical systems. This role stands out for its direct impact on high-stakes infrastructure modernization.
What You'll Do8
- 1Design and deploy Azure compute services including Virtual Machines, VM Scale Sets, App Services, Azure Functions, Container Apps, AKS, and Azure Batch.
- 2Manage Azure storage solutions such as Blob Storage, Azure Files, and Cosmos DB with lifecycle policies.
- 3Implement networking in Azure using VNet, Load Balancer, Application Gateway, and Azure Firewall.
- 4Lead migration of on-premises workloads to Azure using Azure Migrate and Azure Site Recovery.
- 5Automate infrastructure with Terraform and Azure DevOps pipelines.
- 6Secure cloud solutions with Azure AD, Key Vault, and Azure Policy.
- 7Optimize cost and performance through Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
- 8Provide technical guidance and code reviews to junior architects.
Requirements8
- 15+ years architecting enterprise solutions on Azure.
- 2Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification or equivalent.
- 3Proficiency in Azure compute, storage, networking, and security services.
- 4Experience with Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep for IaC.
- 5Hands-on with AKS and containerized workloads.
- 6Familiarity with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
- 7Strong scripting skills in PowerShell or Python.
- 8Ability to obtain a public trust clearance.
