Overview
Lead secure cloud architecture and DevOps initiatives for mission critical federal IT modernization in Washington D.C. Own infrastructure automation and compliance operations while collaborating with government stakeholders to ensure systems remain performant resilient and audit ready. This hybrid role requires on site presence four days weekly.
What You'll Do12
- 1Design deploy and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure including VMs VNets Storage Azure AD and PaaS services
- 2Manage Azure networking components such as VNets NSGs Load Balancers and VPN ExpressRoute connectivity
- 3Develop and maintain Terraform templates as the primary IaC tool
- 4Support automation using PowerShell Bash YAML JSON and GitLab pipelines
- 5Deploy configure and manage AVD environments including host pools session hosts FSLogix profile containers and Azure AD M365 integrations
- 6Provide troubleshooting and performance optimization for AVD users
- 7Build maintain and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines in GitLab
- 8Automate cloud operations system configuration and monitoring tasks
- 9Implement secure cloud practices aligned with federal requirements RBAC Key Vault IAM encryption standards
- 10Ensure compliance with NIST RMF FedRAMP and agency specific controls
- 11Utilize Azure Monitor Log Analytics and related tools to analyze system health diagnose issues and enforce SLAs
- 12Collaborate with engineering security and program staff to support ongoing cloud modernization efforts

- 1Active Secret clearance or higher ability to commute to Washington D.C. and work onsite four days per week
- 25+ years total experience in Cloud Engineering DevOps or Systems Engineering
- 33+ years hands on with Azure cloud services and infrastructure architecture
- 43+ years building and managing CI/CD pipelines in production environments
- 53+ years writing and maintaining Terraform IaC high priority skill
- 64+ years of PowerShell scripting for systems automation
- 7Demonstrated production experience with Azure Virtual Desktop
- 8Working knowledge of federal compliance frameworks FedRAMP NIST 800-53 RMF
- 9Prior work supporting DoD or civilian federal agency cloud programs
- 10Familiarity with containerization Docker Kubernetes or AKS
- 11Experience with Azure serverless services Functions Logic Apps Event Grid
- 12FinOps or Azure Cost Management experience for cloud spend governance
