Overview
Design and implement secure Microsoft Azure environments supporting DoD Impact Level 5 workloads. Lead cloud architecture and operations for classified and Top Secret mission workloads. Collaborate with architects and security professionals to translate designs into reliable infrastructure. This hands-on role focuses on implementation automation and operational readiness. Located in Washington DC metropolitan area.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build secure Azure environments supporting IL5 IL6 and Top Secret workloads
- 2Configure cloud landing zones subscriptions and resource organization
- 3Implement networking virtual networks subnets routing private endpoints firewalls load balancers security groups
- 4Deploy identity controls using Microsoft Entra ID role based access managed identities privileged access controls Azure Key Vault
- 5Operate compute storage database and container services following approved architectures
- 6Apply Azure Policy security baselines DISA STIGs encryption and configuration standards
- 7Monitor alerting audit logging and dashboards using Azure Monitor Log Analytics Defender Sentinel
- 8Support deployment in air-gapped classified environments with limited external dependencies
- 9Troubleshoot infrastructure networking identity performance and configuration issues
- 10Produce documentation diagrams procedures and handoff materials for RMF authorization
Requirements10
- 15+ years hands-on cloud infrastructure engineering experience
- 2Strong experience designing deploying operating Azure solutions
- 3Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Government environments
- 4Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code Terraform Bicep ARM templates
- 5Experience implementing secure landing zones subscriptions network segmentation access controls logging
- 6Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID Azure RBAC managed identities Azure Key Vault Azure Policy
- 7Experience with Windows Linux administration PowerShell Azure CLI Python
- 8Understanding of cloud security principles least privilege encryption vulnerability management backup disaster recovery
- 9Familiarity with DoD Cloud Computing SRG RMF NIST SP 800-53 DISA STIGs
- 10DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification Security+ CE
