Senior Software Quality Engineer at Adobe
Overview
We are building a new AI-first web application at Adobe and need a Senior Software Quality Engineer to lead quality strategy. You will own end-to-end quality for the prompt and agent layers ensuring performance reliability and accessibility. What You'll Do11
- 1Own the end-to-end quality strategy for the AI-first web application covering prompt and agent layers in-browser experience and generated output
- 2Compose and maintain modern web test automation using Playwright Cypress and TypeScript/JavaScript while building infrastructure for speed determinism and developer friendliness
- 3Stand up evaluation harnesses for automated workflows including golden prompt suites regression baselines model version comparisons hallucination safety checks and human-in-the-loop review pipelines
- 4Ensure comprehensive quality for real-time web product covering performance resilience accessibility WCAG and cross-browser/cross-device coverage
- 5Embed quality into CI/CD by building release gates catching regressions reducing flake and turning production telemetry into pre-submit signals
- 6Work closely with engineering product and design to build testability into the process early guide engineers on test strategy automation patterns and shift-left outlook
- 7Guide engineers on test strategy automation patterns and adopt a shift-left approach for AI/ML/LLM-powered features such as prompt regression evaluation datasets model drift and safety testing
- 8Develop API testing performance load testing and observability tooling using Datadog Splunk Sentry or OpenTelemetry
- 9Collaborate and communicate influencing engineers and PMs early in the build cycle
- 10Embrace generative and AI-assisted development workflows learning and adapting as tooling evolves
- 11Thrive in a fast-paced agile founding-team environment embracing generative AI and creative tools
Requirements10
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark Airflow
- 23-5 seasons experience in customer-facing software quality or SDET roles
- 3Automation experience with modern web frameworks Playwright Cypress or similar and strong TypeScriptJavaScript coding skills
- 4Experience designing test strategy for AI/ML/LLM features including prompt regression evaluation datasets model drift and safety testing
- 5Strong fundamentals in API testing performance load testing and observability tooling Datadog Splunk Sentry or OpenTelemetry
- 6Excellent collaboration and communication abilities influencing engineers and PMs early in the build cycle
- 7Prior experience with creative tools design-to-code browser-based graphics Canvas WebGL or real-time collaboration stacks
- 8Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
- 9Comfort with Python is a plus
- 10Ability to work in a fast-paced agile founding-team environment with real ambiguity
