Senior Product Sourcing Manager, Battery-Powered Devices & Asia Sourcing
Overview
Own end-to-end sourcing and development for battery-powered residential equipment at scale. Lead product discovery, supplier negotiations, and lifecycle management from concept to commercialization for global manufacturing partners. Work in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment with deep Asia-focused sourcing experience and cross-functional collaboration. This role is distinguished by strategic market opportunities, international travel, and hands-on leadership across engineering, design, and packaging teams.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and develop new battery-powered consumer products from concept to launch with global manufacturing partners
- 2Negotiate pricing tooling MOQs production timelines and quality standards to improve margins and delivery
- 3Identify market opportunities and recommend new product launches based on consumer and competitive insights
- 4Manage the complete product development lifecycle coordinating with engineering design packaging sales and sourcing
- 5Monitor competitive products pricing and consumer trends to inform roadmaps
- 6Improve supplier performance costs and operational efficiencies through data-driven vendor management
- 7Travel internationally to factories and supplier meetings approximately 2x per year
- 8Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align product specs with business goals
- 9Source and evaluate new suppliers and manufacturers focusing on quality and reliability
- 10Maintain robust supplier relationships and performance metrics to support portfolio growth
Requirements10
- 17+ years of product sourcing and product development experience
- 2Experience sourcing consumer products from China and other Asian manufacturers
- 3Strong vendor negotiation and supplier management skills
- 4Proven ability to identify new product opportunities and market trends
- 5Experience managing products from concept through production
- 6Analytical commercially minded and highly organized
- 7Willingness to travel internationally several times per year
- 8Mandarin language skills are a strong plus
- 9Engineering or technical background preferred
- 10Bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant field
Salary Insight
$175 - $225k per year
