Senior EHS Specialist Waters
Overview
Lead development of comprehensive environmental health and safety programs ensuring regulatory compliance across facilities. Foster safe work environments and reduce environmental impact through proactive management and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do11
- 1Develop and implement EHS programs policies and procedures aligned with OSHA EPA DOT standards
- 2Conduct EHS inspections audits and risk assessments to identify hazards
- 3Investigate incidents analyze root causes and recommend corrective actions
- 4Design and deliver employee training programs covering new hire orientation hazard communication and specialized safety topics
- 5Maintain EHS documentation including permits licenses and incident reports
- 6Collaborate with departments to integrate EHS considerations into operations and facility modifications
- 7Monitor environmental performance including waste management air emissions and wastewater discharge
- 8Lead emergency response planning drills for fires hazardous material spills and medical emergencies
- 9Prepare and submit regulatory reports to agencies and internal stakeholders
- 10Act as primary contact for regulatory agencies during inspections
- 11Stay current with EHS regulations industry best practices and technological advancements
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science Occupational Health Safety Engineering or related field
- 2Minimum 5-7 years progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or life sciences
- 3Strong knowledge of OSHA EPA and relevant state/local regulations
- 4Proven ability to develop and implement EHS management systems
- 5Excellent communication and training skills
- 6Experience with ISO 14001 OHSAS 18001 or ISO 45001 standards
- 7Ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environment
- 8Familiarity with EHS software Microsoft Office Suite
- 9Certifications such as CSP CIH or CHMM are highly desirable
- 10Minimum 4 days per week onsite presence required
