Overview

Lead and continuously improve Environmental Health and Safety programs across manufacturing and distribution operations. Serve as the site's EHS subject matter expert, providing guidance and leadership on regulatory compliance, risk management, environmental programs, and injury prevention. Develop and implement initiatives designed to reduce workplace injuries, incidents, and environmental risks.

What You'll Do12

  • 1Lead and continuously improve Environmental Health and Safety programs across manufacturing and distribution operations
  • 2Serve as the site's EHS subject matter expert, providing guidance and leadership on regulatory compliance, risk management, environmental programs, and injury prevention
  • 3Develop and implement initiatives designed to reduce workplace injuries, incidents, and environmental risks
  • 4Conduct facility inspections, audits, and compliance assessments to identify gaps and verify program effectiveness
  • 5Develop corrective action plans and partner with facility leadership to ensure timely resolution of EHS concerns
  • 6Ensure compliance with OSHA EPA DOT RCRA and applicable local state and federal regulations
  • 7Manage and support environmental compliance programs and required regulatory documentation
  • 8Analyze EHS performance metrics and develop action plans to improve safety and environmental performance
  • 9Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees supervisors and leadership
  • 10Partner with operations maintenance HR legal and other cross-functional teams on EHS initiatives
  • 11Support emergency preparedness crisis management incident response and workers compensation activities
  • 12Identify opportunities to improve EHS processes through data-driven decision making and continuous improvement methodologies

Requirements15

  • 1Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety Environmental Health and Safety Environmental Science Risk Management or related field with 6+ years of relevant experience
  • 2High school diploma/GED with 9+ years of relevant safety risk management or environmental experience may be considered
  • 36+ years of progressive experience in EHS safety environmental compliance or risk management
  • 4Strong knowledge of OSHA EPA DOT RCRA and applicable environmental and safety regulations
  • 5Experience conducting EHS audits inspections risk assessments and compliance evaluations
  • 6Strong understanding of hazard recognition risk assessment and injury prevention practices
  • 7Experience developing and delivering safety and compliance training
  • 8Ability to communicate complex technical and regulatory information to non-technical audiences
  • 9Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word Excel and PowerPoint
  • 10Experience with Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies preferred
  • 11Familiarity with ISO 45001 ISO 14001 or similar EHS management systems preferred
  • 12Food and beverage consumer products manufacturing or distribution experience preferred
  • 13Leadership experience with the ability to influence and develop teams
  • 14ASP CSP or other professional EHS certification preferred
  • 15Must be able to successfully complete a post-offer background check and drug screening
