EHS Coordinator, Manufacturing Safety & OSHA Compliance
Overview
You will own workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and environmental health across our two manufacturing facilities, ensuring a people-first safety culture. You will manage PPE programs, conduct risk assessments, and enforce GMP standards. You'll collaborate with the FSQ team to integrate food safety protocols into all EHS initiatives. This role stands out because you'll directly shape safety practices for a leading Hispanic foods manufacturer.
What You'll Do9
- 1Conduct risk assessments and job hazard analyses to identify and mitigate workplace hazards, ensuring compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.
- 2Investigate workplace incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions using data analytics.
- 3Perform routine walkthroughs of production areas to identify improvement opportunities and reduce exposure to hazards like wet environments, chemical handling, and machine guarding.
- 4Communicate daily with production teams to reinforce safe decision making and encourage reporting of safety concerns.
- 5Maintain workplace conditions that support food safety by mitigating cross-contamination, allergen risks, and sanitation hazards.
- 6Collaborate with HR and Workers' Compensation teams on claims management and return-to-work programs.
- 7Manage inventory, ordering, distribution, and replacement of PPE across both facilities, and ensure proper use and compliance with GMP.
- 8Conduct routine GMP and housekeeping inspections, and partner with supervisors to address deficiencies.
- 9Prepare and submit permits, reports, and regulatory communications, and partner with FSQ to integrate sanitation and food safety protocols.
Requirements7
- 13+ years in EHS roles within manufacturing environments, focusing on safety and compliance.
- 2Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, and GMP principles.
- 3Experience conducting risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.
- 4Strong communication skills to train and engage employees on safety practices.
- 5Ability to manage PPE inventories and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- 6Familiarity with data analytics for safety performance tracking.
- 7Certification in safety (e.g., CSP, ASP) is a plus.
