Senior Construction Manager, eCommerce Fulfillment Centers
Overview
Own multiple capital projects at scale within HelloFresh fulfillment centers. Lead planning, design, procurement, and execution for capex initiatives including MEP upgrades, retrofits, and new builds. Collaborate with operations, engineering, logistics, and external partners to deliver best-in-class facilities. This role blends strategic budgeting with hands-on site leadership to ensure quality, safety, and compliance.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build project plans, budgets, and schedules for capital projects exceeding $20MM and track against contract terms
- 2Lead coordination of all construction logistics and timelines across multiple sites to ensure timely delivery
- 3Own financial management of projects, including ROI analysis, cost control, and change order negotiation
- 4Visit sites regularly to verify quality, monitor progress, and enforce safety and compliance with contracts
- 5Drive development of RFPs, bid processes, and contractor selection with external firms
- 6Ship project documentation and status reports to leadership and stakeholders on a regular cadence
- 7Scale collaboration across Fulfillment Operations, Engineering, and Logistics to meet project goals
- 8Debug issues in design and execution by coordinating with architects, engineers, and estimators
- 9Manage relationships with external contractors and coordinate permits with local/state agencies
- 10Monitor performance to contract and ensure payments and approvals reflect work completed
Requirements5
- 1Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or related field
- 28+ years in construction with 5 years in building e-commerce fulfillment/distribution centers
- 3Experience managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously
- 4Proven history negotiating contracts with contractors, vendors, landlords, and permit offices
- 5Strong knowledge of Building Mechanical Electrical Plumbing codes and related compliance
