Senior Business Analyst, Agile BA - Dallas TX
Overview
Own the analysis and translation of business needs into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria for a Fortune 500 client's agile delivery team. You will work onsite in Dallas, Texas, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to drive process improvements and system changes. This contract role offers a 12-month engagement with potential extension, focusing on agile ceremonies and requirements management.
What You'll Do6
- 1Elicit and document detailed functional and non-functional requirements from stakeholders using interviews, workshops, and document analysis.
- 2Translate business requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows in JIRA and Confluence.
- 3Facilitate agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives to keep delivery on track.
- 4Partner with developers and QA analysts to clarify requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
- 5Analyze current-state processes to identify gaps and propose data-driven solutions, ensuring traceability from epic to acceptance.
- 6Support the product owner in prioritizing backlog items and managing stakeholder expectations throughout the 12-month contract.
Requirements6
- 15+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in an agile software development environment.
- 2Proven track record writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation for enterprise-scale projects.
- 3Hands-on experience with JIRA, Confluence, and other agile project management tools.
- 4Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
- 5Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, comfortable presenting to business and technical audiences.
- 6Experience in financial services or consulting industries is a plus.
